Chris Still - Development Committee

Chris holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in music education and orchestral performance from the Crane School of Music of the State University of New York and the New England Conservatory in Boston.  Since 2007, he has been a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles all over the world.

Chris has a particular interest in bringing the arts and music education to underserved youth. Since its founding, he has worked with the LA Phil’s Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (YOLA) as a teacher and clinician for children and adolescents in the LAUSD. Through the LA Phil’s Resident Fellows program, he works to promote diversity among professional-track musicians. In 2019, he designed and taught the program’s year-long curriculum of mentorship, career advancement strategy, and audition training in order to promote the careers of musicians from historically underrepresented populations.

Chris, his wife Amanda, and his children Griffin and Mia all live in Altadena, where they spend a lot of time chasing Carl, the sock-stealing puppy.
