Claudia Marquez

Office Manager

Claudia has been working in education for 18 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Photography from California College of the Arts. After graduating she taught photography to international students in San Francisco and art workshops to kids living along the El Paso/Juarez border. She then worked at Rosa Parks Elementary in Berkeley for close to 10 years. There she was a classroom assistant, art instructor, and worked her way to Director of Operations for the After School Program. Most recently she was the Program Director for the STEM program "Super Science Saturdays," which aimed to give under-resourced students more academically enriched opportunities.

After moving back to Los Angeles and becoming a mom, her interest in Montessori grew. She started reading about the philosophy and implementing it at home with her toddler. With a strong passion for education and building bonds with children, she's excited to join the Oak Knoll community!

In her free time, Claudia enjoys crafting, dancing, and finding new parks for her and her little one to explore.
